Strategic infrastructure
More flexibility. Greater resilience.
Rietavas BESS will store electricity and deliver it back to the grid when the system needs it most. The project will support frequency control, balancing reserves and the integration of growing wind and solar generation.
How the system works→Direct connection
Connected to Litgrid’s 110 kV substation
The high-voltage connection will allow the system to respond rapidly to grid needs and provide balancing services across the Baltic and Nord Pool markets.
